What is RSS?

RSS stands for ‘Really Simple Syndication’ and allows you to subscribe to receive updated content from ASAE & The Center via either via a web-based tool such as Google Reader, an email-based tool such as Outlook 2007, or a stand alone RSS reader.

ASAE & The Center’s RSS Feeds:

By subscribing to feeds you will receive links to new articles, events, and other content directly into your feed reader of choice shortly after it is published to the website.

Using RSS Demo Video

We’ve created a variety of feeds for you to choose from ranging from topic-based content feeds to feeds of two signature publications—Associations Now and The Journal of Association Leadership. You can subscribe to as many of the feeds below that match your interests.

If you click on the feeds below in your web browser, you will be asked if you want to subscribe to the feed and prompted to choose which tool you would like to use for your subscription. Viewing RSS in the browser can look like code which is not very friendly to read—so it is important that you have an RSS reader if you wish to access these feeds.

General Feeds:

Publication Feeds

Professional Interest Section Newsletter Feeds

Please note that some articles contained in the following feeds are members only and will require a valid member login to access the full article.

Feed Readers and Getting Feeds on Websites:

There are a wide variety of web-based and stand alone readers. We’ve listed a few of the more popular and easiest to configure below

Google Reader: www.google.com/reader
My Yahoo!: my.yahoo.com
My MSN: my.msn.com

For those with websites or blogs, please feel free to integrate any of the above feeds into your site or blog—so long as you’re not using the feeds for commercial use or in any way charging for the feeds or content available therein.

Questions?

Should you have additional RSS questions, there’s an RSS entry in the Associapedia wiki. You can also contact us with specific questions on ASAE & The Center’s RSS feeds. We’re happy to help.

Don’t see the feed you’re looking for—drop us a note and we’ll see if we can’t create the feed for you and get it added to this list.
