AAA Awards Entry Form

Entering your organization in the AAA Awards program has never been easier! Simply follow these steps:

1. Fill out the entry form as completely as possible. The AAA judges look only at this form, so please be sure to provide all of the information requested. Do not send reports or brochures or other supporting materials. If your entry is selected for a Summit Award, ASAE & The Center may ask you for video or pictures of your activity to use at the Summit Awards Dinner.

2. Focus on the Program Description. Be as concise as possible, but take care to explain thoroughly how your program advances America or some segment of society. Following a brief synopsis of the program or activity, it would be appropriate to provide some information in the following three areas:

  • Scope of Project
Questions to consider include: Is the program innovative in scope, originality or execution in comparison to other entrants? How many people benefit from the program? Did the program involve member work and if so, was there a broad inclusion of membership, or was the project completed by outside consultants, staff or PR firms?
  • Public Relations Value
Questions to consider include: Does the program serve a group of people or program area that has been identified as critical by national public policymakers (i.e., healthcare, education, etc.)? Does the program serve as a good example of how associations “advance America”? Would the association serve as a good ambassador to the public on behalf of the association community?
  • Outcomes or Measurement of Objective
How well defined and measurable are the goals and objectives? How was society improved by the program? How many individuals’ lives were positively affected or improved by this program?
3. Concentrate on the need, the activity’s goal, its impact (in terms of outcomes), and the significance of its success.
Numbers are very important as measurements of success, but also describe how the activity improved the lives of those involved or how it benefited society.

4. Feel free to submit multiple entries, but make sure they all go beyond “everyday” best practices to provide a real public benefit.

5. There is a $25 fee per entry. Simply complete the credit card information on the next screen, or mail in a check with your completed entry/entries.

You may submit this form electronically, or print it out and either fax or mail it to ASAE’s Public Policy Department. Fax entries to 202-220-6468.
