Certificate Program in Association Management
ASAE has developed the Certificate Program in Association Management to help association professionals build the competencies they need to manage their organizations more effectively. The Program includes five one-day courses which can be taken individually or as a group. The Program is designed for professionals with fewer than five years of association management experience who want to apply a more systematic approach to their work and improve the success of their organizations

All courses include an assessment of learning, and upon completion of the five courses participants will automatically receive the Certificate in Association Management awarded by ASAE University. Approved Licensees for the Certificate Program in Association Management
The Certificate Program in Association Management is offered by ASAE in our Washington, DC office each year in January and June. In addition, several domestic and global organizations have partnered with ASAE University to offer the course content in multiple locations and at various times throughout the year. Facilitators from the following organizations have been trained and approved by ASAE University to offer the Certificate Program in Association Management.

The Business of Meetings^SM Certificate Program
The Business of Meetings^SM Certificate Program courses are offered in Washington, DC at the ASAE building. Attendees will automatically receive a Business of Meetings^SM certificate of completion once all four courses are completed. Earn up to 12 CAE hours per course and each two-day course counts as 14 CMP contact hours towards certification. Attendees that complete all four courses can account for a total of 56 contact hours towards certification.

Courses do not need to be taken in a specific order or within the same year. Take them in any order, at your own pace. ASAE University has launched three new online certificate curricula, Component Relations Management, Membership Management, and the latest, Professional Development Management.

These programs are ideal for association executives responsible for component relations, membership development, or professional development.

Individuals who complete the required online courses within a curriculum will receive an ASAE University certificate of completion in that subject area.

Here's how it works:

To receive the management certificate, members must complete the three courses within the curriculum (in any sequence, although we recommend the order listed below). Once the curriculum has been completed, individuals will automatically receive a certificate of completion from ASAE University.

Individuals who have completed any of the specific courses listed below after January 2005 will be grandfathered into this new curriculum.

We will also continue to offer individuals who complete the minimum requirements of any six-week online course, independent of a curriculum, a course certificate of completion and recognition of 18 CAE credits for the particular course having been completed.
