Welcome to ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership’s Government Relations Section. The section enhances association professionals' professionalism and promotes excellence in association government relations, increasing the effectiveness of associations' government relations activities.
A Government Relations Section Council oversees section activities, evaluating section programs and benefits and making recommendations on future products and services. There are numerous opportunities for section members to get involved through the council subcommittee structure. Input on our activities is always welcomed!
The ASAE Advocates Advocacy Center
Search federal and state legislator's positions on association issues. Communicate with legislators through e-mail. Keep informed on the latest Congressional hearings and get valuable tips on advocacy, letter writing, and grassroots efforts through the ASAE Advocates Advocacy Center. The ASAE Advocates is a network of association advocates representing the community in the legislative process.
Continue Your Education
ASAE is parting with the Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) at the George Washington University on a new graduate education program. The Graduate Program in Government Relations for Association Executives addresses the core competencies in government relations, as established by the Government Relations Section Council, while providing first-rate graduate education in a situation conducive to the busy world of today's association professional.
