APAC Hosts Arlene Pietranton
Pietranton Stresses Important Role Members Serve in the Association Community
On June 2, APAC hosted a reception to honor and recognize Arlene A. Pietranton Ph.D., FASAE, for her stewardship and support of the association management community at ASAE. With 100 people in attendance, ASAE APAC Chair Tom Quattlebaum, RCE, CAE shared an update on APAC’s fundraising and stressed the importance of the PAC, especially in this election year.
ASAE President and CEO John H. Graham, IV, FASAE, CAE also conveyed the importance of ASAE’s advocacy work and the issues this Congress is deliberating that could affect associations directly.
Arlene addressed the crowd by saying, “Everyone here is extremely important to me, and I thank you for attending and supporting me this evening.” She specifically recognized attendees from a variety of communities within ASAE including: DELP scholars, Young Professionals, ASAE Board members past and present, ASAE Fellows, her staff at ASHA and the ASAE Staff – all making personal contributions to APAC in support of her reception.
Arlene is a longstanding member of ASAE and a loyal, dedicated volunteer. Currently, she is Chairperson of the ASAE Board of Directors. She is also a member of the Key Professional Association Committee, a past Chair of the ASAE Foundation, and a generous longtime donor to APAC. Arlene earned the designation of ASAE Fellow in 2010.
